NSPCC E-safety parent Workshop
Our NSPCC E-Safety workshop will be taking place in the hall at 2.15 pm today not 2.30 as shown in previous blog. We would love to see you there!

NSPCC Online Safety Parent Workshop
As part of our commitment to keeping our children safe online, we have arranged for representatives from the NSPCC E-Safety team to join us. Please come along to school on Wednesday 28th March at 2.15pm where the NSPCC will be sharing advice and tools to help keep children safe online.
E-safety Workshop
Tomorrow's e-safety workshop for parents will go ahead as planned 2:15 to 3:00. The deadline for NSPCC sponsor money has been extended to the 22nd March. Children will complete sponsored activities during P.E slots this week.

Tuesday 20th March
School will be open as normal tomorrow. The staff and I have cleared the grounds of lying snow and ice. Thank you to those staff who came to help. However, it is likely to be very cold overnight, so please stick to the gritted paths and take care making your journey to school. School Closure
The Blaenau Gwent Emergency response Team has met and following their recommendation, school will be closed tomorrow (Monday 19th March). We will update the website and social media pages as soon as we have more information.

Happy Mother's Day
We would like to wish all St.Illtyd's Mum's, Step-Mum's, Grans, Aunties and other special ladies a Happy Mother's Day. We hope you have a very special day.
NSPCC Parent Workshop Postponed
Due to the recent weather disruptions, the NSPCC parent workshop planned for Thursday 8th March has been postponed. We are currently working with the NSPCC to confirm a new date. All other NSPCC activities will go ahead as planned. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
School Open Wednesday 7th March

Nursery Open doors will go ahead as planned 9:15am-10:00
Children may wear welsh costumes to school or wear red/ green / white. Please wear sensible footwear.
Eisteddfod will take place Wednesday afternoon. We will be taking photographs of the children in their Welsh costumes.

School to remain closed Tuesday 6th March
Update on Tuesday 6th March. Having been on site today, I would firstly like to say thank you to the staff who came in to help clear the site as best that we can. Also thank you to Lewis Challenger who assisted us. After they cleared the pathways, they also cleared a section of the car park for staff to use tomorrow (as the car park near the railway line is still not fully accessible). This limits the car parking available to parents tomorrow. I then took a drive around Llanh

School Closure Monday 5th March
In line with Blaenau Gwent's Emergency Response recommendations, the school will remain closed tomorrow Monday 5th March. Whilst the adverse weather is now improving, the impact of the snow over the last few days is still causing us some problems. It is going to take a considerable time to clear the school site to make it accessible. We also need to keep an eye on the condition of the building and ensure that the heating is working, that there is no flooding / roof damage etc
