Christmas FayreThank you to everyone who made our Christmas Enterprise Fayre such a huge success this year. We ![]() hope you all enjoyed seeing the pupils innovative and creative ideas. It is wonderful to watch pupils develop into enterprising, creative contributors and have a taste of the world of work. All stalls made a healthy profit which will be used to support enrichment opportunities over the coming year.
![]() Goodbye and Good LuckWe would like to say a fond farewell to Ms Bishop who is moving on to pastures new. We wish her the very best of luck for the future and thank her for her time at St. Illtyd's.
ConcertsIt was wonderful to welcome so many of you to our Christmas Concerts. As always, the ![]() pupils were a credit to you and performed beautifully. We hope you all enjoyed and thank you for your patience and understanding with the last minute change of plans. The team and pupils did an incredible job to put the performances together in just a couple of weeks! We would also like to say a huge 'thank you' to the staff at Llanhilleth Institute members of the Tea Dance session who kindly offered the hall at no cost and changing their plans to accommodate our older classes. They are the heart of the community and we feel blessed to have their support.
Attendance![]() We have seen a slight increase in attendance compared to this time last year for a majority of weeks this term. We are still recording a significant amount of late marks and would like to remind everyone that doors open at 8.50am for a 9.00am start. Please ensure all pupils arrive promptly to avoid an unsettled start to their day. For pupils arriving after the class doors close, we ask that a parent/carer escorts them to the main office and hands them over to a staff member.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Abertillery Town Council and Tai Calon for their incredibly generous donation of selection boxes. This kind gesture will bring joy and excitement to our pupils during the festive season. Your support is invaluable, and we are truly grateful for your continued commitment to our school community.
On Friday 20th December, all pupils are invited to wear Christmas Jumpers for a movie morning.
School will close at 1.30pm.
All pupils will receive lunch and their afternoon registration mark.
Buses have been informed and will collect at the earlier times. Thank you!As we approach the end of another busy and rewarding year, we want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your unwavering support and partnership.
Your encouragement and involvement have been instrumental in our collective efforts to improve our school.
Together, we have celebrated successes, learned from challenges, and grown as a school community.
We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our pupils and the dedication of our staff.
Your support has made all the difference.
As we look forward to the festive season, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
May the coming year be filled with joy.
With heartfelt thanks,
Mrs A Matthews
